THE CITY
Granada, the longest lasting Arab Kingdom in Spain (800 years of Arab occupation), celebrated in 1992 the 500th the anniversary of its fall to the Catholic Kings, Ferdinand and Isabelle. The city is world famous and known for its “Alhambra Palace and “Generalife Gardens”. The alhambra palace is the best and most well preserved example of ismalic architecture in spain. This mediaval fortress, strategically located on the top of the hill towers over the city. Covers an area of 100.000 square meters and it is generally accepted as the 8th wonder of the world. Many of the original palaces, squares and fountains still remains as they were in the past.
DAY TRIP
Our representative guide will meet the clients at the hotel along the coast and departure towards Granada. Upon arrival walking tour of the alhambra, (The visit should be by your own not guided) aproximatelly 3 hours and later ransfer to city centre, and free time ro explore the alcaiceria (old quarter), and in the afternoon we will return to Costa del Sol and hotels.
